Dear Parents,
I can’t believe how January is flying along!
Sorry for the goof up on the Valentine’s sheet. Please throw the original one away that should have been in the Friday folder and only use the one that came home this week in the folders.
In Religion we will be talking about friends next week. We have finished our chapter on Mary.
In Reading we will be working on reviewing: not has on, also the words from the ap family and the op family. We will begin to work on the words from the ot family: pot hot not. Please make flashcards for those words. We will be finishing up Unit 4 and having a test on it next week.
We will be reviewing the letter both initial and ending sounds for: n, s, m, t, h, a and o
Please remind your child to tap out the short vowel words and clap for the word.
In Math we will continue to work on numbers from 0-100. We also will be working on counting by 5’s and 10’s.
I have included papers from Highlight magazine. They will once again provide some things for our classroom. Please just sign and return on Monday.

You will be getting more information about Catholic Schools Week. Please make sure that you check next Friday’s folder for the important events.
Sunday : 1-29: Open House… Opening Liturgy is at 11. Open House 12-2. There will also be a book fair at this time, which will continue the next week. You will get a flyer in your Friday folder. This is a listing of some of the books available. If you want you may either stop in during the Open House, or your child may shop at the library book fair on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday.
Wednesday 2/1: Conferences: NO School for Kindergarten-4th grade.
Friday: 2/3: Early dismissal at 11:30. NO Penn Hills buses
Saturday: 2/11: the next school dinner
Sunday 3/18: kindergarten’s brunch: 12-2 Easter Bunny Brunch
Monday: 6/4: Kindergarten’s last day and graduation at 7PM
